Reading To Comprehend The Messages Of The Scriptures

In the discussion on intelligent comprehension in the post 'Intelligent Comprehension 101' in the blog 'A Christian Pilgrimage' I posed the question:

'What is the first most basic thing to know and understand about the Christian Holy Scripture even just the translated and heavily interpreted works of the Christian Bible (in all the various versions and languages)? Would anyone of the proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives of religions and the human social order know what is this very first most basic thing to know about the Scriptures?'

Here is the extract of my answer:

Anyone with the most basic of intelligence coupled with a just basic high school or equivalent education when reading the Christian Holy Scriptures in anyall of its translated and heavily interpreted versions, naturally (i.e. as a given or established norm from the context of having basic reading and comprehension skills) would (or should anyway) know and understand that it is first and foremost, a communiqué, a communication of knowledge to the intelligent creature personages from the GOD of these Scriptures. And everyone intelligent would (or should anyway) know and understand that a communiqué is basically about conveying, relaying or transmitting of knowledge (i.e. truth as opposed to falsehood, lies, deceitful andor misleading) information.

There is this joke that goes: 'What do a stupid person, a mad person and a dead person have in common?'

And the answer is: 'They don't know'.

The stupid persons don't know that they are stupid, the mad persons don't know they are mad and the dead persons do not know that they are dead.

The problem with mankind is not that they are not intelligent. As I have often mentioned in this work, mankind are incredulously intelligent. Only this intelligence does not translate into actual intelligence when it comes to what they choose to believe in and subscribe to, as well as in many to most cases, how they behave and how they conduct their lives.

The diametrically opposite is what is almost always what the result is. The result is a massive moronic stupidity that crosses the line into practically stark raving insanity.

From irresponsible behaviors, through reckless and stupid behaviors to outright insane behaviors, mankind have been causing harm to others as well as to themselves ever since the beginning of human civilization. But this pales in comparison when it comes to their belief systems, all the things they chose to believe in.

And today (not that it was any different in the past, just not so brazenly paraded because most but not all people then, still have some sense of being shamed or embarrassed when they get exposed and called out for saying something stupid) with the internet where nearly everyone can publish they "supreme" takes on anyall subjects, topics and issues, this massively moronic stupidity and insanity is literally everywhere, every time someone open up their mouths to say something relating to their preferred take on reality and actuality.

Truly the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil; madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
Ecclesiastes 9:3 ⁣

This behavior of arrogant massive stupidity and insanity of nearly everyone being openly and brazenly paraded by the way, was prophesied of (i.e. foretold) by this author back in 2010 C.E. in the post 'Hypocritical Self Righteous Religious Bigot'. Back then still, only the generally acknowledged proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives of the human social order were the main ones doing this but today almost everyone has been doing so since the beginning of 'social media' on the internet.

Against all these the Scriptures testified:

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight
Isaiah 5:21 ⁣(NASB)

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:7

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Proverb 26:12

Basically then, if you the reader are sincere (as opposed to in self deceiving deliberated stupidity hold that you are but in actuality you are just a delusional ego mega supergorger exact as was the Apostle Paul and nearly all the Elect of GOD today) in studying the Scriptures to find out what GOD was communicating to us HIS creature personages, the very first thing you need to do (and not just know to then do the diametrical opposite as nearly all the Elect of GOD from the time of Apostles to today, as the New Covenant Scriptures revealed, have been doing) is to wipe out all preconceive notions about yourself and about what you (think, believe and hold you) know about GOD and the Scripture of Truth (Proverbs 3:5).

Start reading reading the Scriptures to learn what the Scriptures said (i.e. recorded) instead of having you own ideas of what GOD is about and what the Scriptures is about and is saying. A first few readings must be from cover to cover to get the general idea of all that the Scriptures recorded before proceeding to more detail and meticulously thorough topical studies. This by the way was what I (the author of all this work) did despite me having already read the Bible (KJV) from cover to cover when I was a tween, I still started out again first reading the Bible from cover to cover.

When GOD called me around the early 1987 C.E., I realized then that I must start studying the Bible without having any preconceived notion and idea at all, but to begin learning about GOD from scratch, letting the Word of Truth build in me the Truth from GOD. Even as I was being led by the HOLY SPIRIT (as GOD was directly calling me) and I could understand some basic (especially literal) truths, it was not until GOD ordained me to be a Messenger Watchmen (in 1995 C.E) that I started gaining a deeper understanding of the Word of Truth.

But my understanding then pales with what I have now been given (by GOD through the HOLY SPIRIT) to understand. It was after this work started that all the understanding that I now have, began to piece upon piece ('precepts must be upon precepts') became opened to me in rapid succession. Each new understanding and knowledge built on what I have already been given to understand. Truly, my cup runs over.

So to do this (i.e. be genuinely sincere as opposed to in self deception hold that you are sincere) the very first thing is to stop completely your innate sense of self as being sufficient, wise, clever, smart or this supreme super genius. Because if you are this wise, clever, smart, supreme super genius then you just are explicitly this massive moron who is wise is his own eyes for which there is more hope for an actual massive moron than there is for you (Proverbs 26:12; Isaiah 5:21).

The Most Important Passages On How To Study The Scriptures

In this post we look at the most important verses (or passages) of the Scripture of Truth that provide the foundation to understanding the Word of Truth, how to read and study (basic reading and comprehension skills that any high school student ought to possess) the Christian Holy Scriptures to comprehend the messages (i.e. the communiqué from the CREATOR GOD to HIS creature personages) without going into the lust seeded, fueled and driven twists, spins and ridiculous fabrications that nearly all who read the Scripture of Truth, ended up with, from mostly to nearly completely.

The very next thing to know about the Scripture of Truth, if ever you have read it cover to cover ('Line upon line, line upon line'), is that there is a ton of symbolic language in it, from analogies, allegories, metaphors, hyperbole, parodies, riddles (aka parables), etc.

This immediately (intuitively or automatically) let us understand that we need to know what all the symbols represent and also what are the contexts (often there may be more than just one) for the analogies, allegories, parodies and riddles (i.e. parables).

One of the use of symbolism in a message is to have more than one context in the message. With symbolism, the different contexts also may give different meaning (or value) to the symbol used. In literally speech there is only one context to what is stated but with symbolic languages many different contexts can apply.

For example the goat symbolism was used to represent the nation of Greece while a ram was used to represent or symbolized the nation of Mede-Persia in Daniel 8. But elsewhere in the Scriptures goats symbolism was also used to symbolized the self serving rebellious people of GOD (Matthew 25:32 – 33).

In Leviticus 16, the two goats for the Day of Atonement, carried two diametrical opposite symbolic meaning. One, the goat offered as a sin offering, represent the LORD, CHRIST as the LAMB of GOD who died to redeem mankind (Leviticus 16:8) while the other, the (interpreted in deliberated stupidity by Bible translators as) scapegoat (Azaʾzel [H5799] actual meaning 'the departing or put away goat') represented Satan the Devil who would be put away for a thousand years after the Second Advent.

In 2 Peter 1 verses 19 to 21, the Scriptures plainly, literarily and explicitly stated that the words spoken by a Holy Prophet of GOD 'as they were moved by the HOLY SPIRIT' is not of private or personal interpretation. This means that no one, even if they are true Christians, can interpret these anyhow they like but must look to the Scriptures (Luke 24:32, 44 – 45) while guided by the HOLY SPIRIT (John 16:13; 14:16, 26) to find out what these meant.

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:19 – 21 ⁣ (Note: The term translated as 'prophecy of Scripture' just means the 'words spoken by a Prophet of GOD as moved by the HOLY SPIRIT' as was explicitly stated in the passage. This means even true Christians (be they Apostles, Prophets, Judges, Watchmen, Messengers, Scribes, Priests, Pastor, bishop, deacons, evangelists or lay members) cannot interpreted Scriptures based on our own understanding any of the 'words spoken by a Prophet of GOD as moved by the HOLY SPIRIT' but must completely rely on the HOLY SPIRIT to give us the true understanding of what these 'prophecy of Scripture' are about. And this true understanding are always from the Scriptures itself. But sadly, almost all have done so (put in their own interpretations), from Apostles to Messengers to the Church of GOD, through to even the lay members.)

So the use of symbolism means that we must know each instance of these symbols used, what they represent in each context. As with all the messages in the Scriptures, we must look to the Scriptures itself for the meaning of these symbols (in analogies, allegories, metaphors, parodies, riddles, etc.). Under no circumstances must we interpret this symbols based on our own ideas or what the human social order put forth.

All of these stated above would (or should anyway) conveyed to us (those who are intelligent (not those who have been lust driven to insanity; who proclaimed that the Scriptures must be read literally meaning the Elect of GOD are literally sheep and goats and not literally people at all; JESUS was literally a lamb the baby of a sheep and not literally the LORD GOD, that ancient Persia in Daniel was literally a ram while ancient Greece was literally a goat and both were not literally nations with people and armies) that the extensive use of symbolism in its language and messages means that the messages are basically (just not totally) cryptic.

So then the Scriptures (as a whole message) is basically a cryptic puzzle composed of analogies, allegories, metaphors and other symbolic language, just not all of it. Much of the Scriptures are literal accounts too, these are accounts pertaining to genealogy, events and situations as well dialog between the men (includes women and children).

The cryptic puzzles are exclusively (but not completely) the words spoken by the Prophets of GOD when they were moved to speak by the HOLY SPIRIT). Being a cryptic puzzle means the keys to the symbolism and the contexts of the symbolism must be first deciphered before the messages can be understood.

And being a puzzle means the context to any issue, topic or subject are not all lump together in one verse, one passage or one chapter but are scattered all over the whole of the Scriptures, a little here, a little there (Isaiah 28:10). An example of this is in the second verse of Genesis chapter one verse 2.

The earth was without form [tohuw H8414], and void [bohuw H922]; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2 ⁣

The words of the original text for 'without form' was 'tohuw [H8414]' and 'void' was 'bohuw [H922]'. The same two words appeared together in the exact same expression in Jeremiah chapter 4 verse 23 as they did in Genesis chapter 1 verse 2. Here in Jeremiah chapter 4 the context (in Jeremiah 4:24 – 26) was of the Day of the LORD when GOD will again move to destroy all the wicked. And the result was of the earth being laid waste 'tohuw [H8414]';  turned into a desolate wasteland 'bohuw [H922]'.

Destruction upon destruction is cried,
For the whole land is plundered.
Suddenly my tents are plundered,
And my curtains in a moment.
How long will I see the standard, And hear the sound of the trumpet?
“For My people are foolish, They have not known Me.
They are silly children, And they have no understanding.
They are wise to do evilBut to do good they have no knowledge.”
I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form [tohuw H8414], and void [bohuw H922];
And the heavens, they had no light.
I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled,
And all the hills moved back and forth.
I beheld, and indeed there was no man,
And all the birds of the heavens had fled.
I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness,
And all its cities were broken down
At the presence of the LORD, By His fierce anger..
 Jeremiah 4:20 –26 ⁣

Also in Isaiah chapter 45 verse 18 the same word 'tohuw [H8414]' was interpreted (by the NKJV translators) into the word 'in vain'.

For thus says the LORD,
Who created the heavens,
Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
Who has established it,
Who did not create it in vain [tohuw H8414],
Who formed it to be inhabited:
“I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:18 ⁣

So from Jeremiah 4 verse 23 and Isaiah 45 verse 18 we have the true (as opposed to the deliberated stupidity interpretations of all the Bible translators) meaning of a 'resultant state of destruction' rather than an original created state by GOD. And from Isaiah 45 verse 18 we have GOD saying HE did not create the earth in such a state of 'tohuw [H8414]' (i.e. as a desolate or empty wasteland).

In every instance of the term of the original (Hebrew) texts 'tohuw [H8414]' in the Scriptures, the meaning conveyed is of empty or pointless things, be they nothingemptiness or wilderness with the emphasis on it devoid of good or life; of nothing of any worth or worthiness. While in every instance of the term of the original (Hebrew) texts 'bohuw [H922]' in the Scriptures, the meaning conveyed is of 'a ruinous state' the result of some destruction.

So from the use of the same words/terms and the exact expression in Isaiah (Isaiah 45:18) and Jeremiah (Jeremiah 4:20 –26) respectively, we would (or should anyway) understand that Genesis 1 verse 2 was not about an original state of the earth when it was created, but it was of a resultant state from some form of destruction. You can read the discussion on Genesis 1 verse 2 in the post, 'A Dark Empty Wasteland' in the blog, 'The Scripture of Truth'.

Another example is in the account on the so called the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse.

Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.”
And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”
Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”
When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”
So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Revelation 6:1 – 8 ⁣

The key to understanding Revelation 6, the section often referred to as the so called 'Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse' (Revelation 6:1 – 8), is actually in Matthew 24:3 – 11 (also Mark 13:3 – 9 and Luke 21:7 – 12) specifically verse 6 last part (as what these signs are about, that they are not about the End of the Age) and verse 5 (is about world conquering counterfeit religions claiming themselves as that of The Anointed aka Christ aka Messiah aka The Prophet of GOD and of the faith and worship of Abraham the Father of The Faithful) is in the Gospel accounts when JESUS was asked by HIS disciples (specifically HIS handpicked Apostles) what shall be the signs of HIS (Second Advent or) Coming.

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Matthew 24:3 – 11

Basically then the so called Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse is not specifically about the end of the world (i.e. End of the Age). It is about the cycle of repeating events beginning from then (the time JESUS spoke this) that would kill off a fourth of mankind: of counterfeit religions claiming to be of GOD going on wars of conquest to spread their evil blasphemous religions (the White Horse); of war (the Red Horse); of famine (the Black Horse); and of all other forms of unnatural death occurring to mankind (the Pale Horse).

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matthew 11:12 ⁣(Note: this verse spoke of those who are violent, seizing so to speak, the kingdom of heaven by violence.)

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16 ⁣(Note: True Christians are commanded by the LORD to be 'harmless as doves', therefore Matthew 11:12 are not referring to the Church of GOD and the Elect, but evil pagan religions masquerading as from GOD andor CHRIST establishing their version of the kingdom of heaven on earth by force of violence and war)

And the Rider of the White Horse is not JESUS CHRIST or Christianity but blasphemous pagan religions claiming themselves as being of CHRIST (i.e. of The Messiah, The Anointed or The Prophet of God) which will go conquering (i.e. spreading of these evil blasphemous religions often by force of warring conquest).

The Most Important Passage

Here then is the most important passages on how to read the Scriptures to comprehend the messages as opposed to putting in your own "supreme" massively stupid interpretations as nearly everyone does when they read the Scriptures, from significantly through mostly to entirely. There are two passages but one, same subject (or topic).

“Whom will he teach knowledge?
And whom will he make to understand the message?
Those just weaned from milk?
Those just drawn from the breasts?
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little.”
Isaiah 28:9 – 10 ⁣(NASB)

But the word of the Lord was to them,
“Precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little,”
That they might go and fall backward, and be broken
And snared and caught.
Isaiah 28:13 ⁣

The first passage (Isaiah 28:9 – 10), the second verse (verse 10) tells us how the Scripture is meant to be read to understand its messages (i.e. its precepts). This is not much different from any studying of any complex (not necessarily difficult) subject with many concepts in many contexts filled with symbolism in analogies, allegories, metaphors, hyperbole and other implementations of linguistic.

Firstly 'line upon line, line upon line', meaning from cover to cover.

Then here a little, there a little meaning picking out all those about the same topics as well as those covering the same concepts (precepts must be upon precepts) and contexts from Genesis to Revelation. This is how puzzles and complex problems are solved, picking all the relevant and related parts from all over ('here a little, there a little') the Scripture records to examine then piece them together.

The first verse (verse 9) sets the context that is to 'teach knowledge' to 'make to understand the message'.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 3:5 ⁣

Now if you are looking into (i.e. reading and studying) something new of which you know nothing about at all absolutely, a subject matter that you have no previous knowledge about at all (for example, genetics or quantum computing if you as an example, are just a dirt poor farmer (someone who live in a remote village with no internet access) who never even heard of such thing, when you study into it you will at the onset not be able to have any idea what it is all about. And that is the way you should start reading and studying the Scriptures

That was how I started to read the Scriptures when GOD called me (not that I was a dirt poor farmer living in some remote village) in 1986/1987 C.E..

I began again studying the Scriptures from cover to cover on a complete clean slate. This was despite the fact that I had actually read it (cover to cover) when I was in my tween. I knew then that if I started studying with some ideas on it already in my head I am going to blend what I think I already know with what was recorded. I will end up with my take (understanding) of the Scriptures (and not what the Scriptures actually conveyed) because any preconceive notion that I have will distort and 'corrupt' whatever I read.

That I already understood this when I was (directly) called by GOD in 1986/1987 C.E., was more of GOD already leading me (despite me not yet being baptized or even know anything significant about GOD and HIS Word of Truth).

One example (and there are literally tons such) from the (first) Messenger to the Church of GOD in Philadelphia, of him 'leaning on one's own understanding', in Exodus 35 verse 2 to 3 where he taught (according to his own understanding that the 'fire' mentioned in that passage was of a roaring fire and it was not about lighting a fire for light or for cooking. According to him it was because of the Israelite's zeal for work of of the Tabernacle that the Israelite continued working through the Sabbath (so GOD had to warned them against working on the Sabbath).

Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings on the Sabbath day.
Exodus 35:2 – 3 ⁣

What do you think? Did he interpreted this passage by 'leaning on his own understanding' correctly? One thing (among many) which he taught was correct. And this is that the Scriptures interpret itself, that the meaning of any unclear passage (or symbolism used) is given by (or is in) the Scriptures itself, usually in some other passages, chapters or book.

But the problem with him teaching that is he seldom followed what he taught except when it suited him. This by the way, is literally the same for everyone, we all generally believe what suit us to believe (once we are no longer scared out of our wits or under threat of great physical harm). That was the reason a popular song goes 'Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregard the rest'. That was the reason the Scriptures recorded in Jeremiah 17 verse 9 of the deceitfulness of the hearts, how it is incurable and desperately wicked.

He got the 'roaring' part correct but he completely ignored that the passage was referring to 'throughout your dwellings' and thus it was not about a fire relating to the work of the Tabernacle. Who would light a fire inside all (i.e. 'throughout') their dwelling to do the work for the Tabernacle? Would not such a large roaring fire be in an empty space near to the place where work was done? And why in all (i.e. throughout) of their dwellings, would not one or at most two large roaring fire be enough for the work of the Tabernacle? Why would they need a roaring fire in every one (i.e. 'throughout') of their dwellings?

It was not a roaring fire for the work of the Tabernacle but a roaring consuming fire that will burn up (i.e. consume) all their dwellings.

The 'fire' referred to in that passage was a metaphor, of a 'consuming fire' that would destroy or consume up all their dwellings', a metaphor for a consuming a destruction from GOD if they were to break the Sabbath. The context of the passage is about breaking the Sabbath — 'Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death'.

For our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrew 12:29 ⁣

And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
Numbers 11:1 ⁣

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
Deuteronomy 32:22 ⁣

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee.
For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:23 – 24 ⁣

Therefore the Lord heard this and was furious;
So a fire was kindled against Jacob
Psalm 78:21 ⁣

Then there was an extreme example of him of not just leaning on his own understanding but actually veering towards his white supremacist lust (in his lust to be supreme, he implicitly proclaimed his race, the white race as being the supreme race). Here he twisted the Word of truth on genealogy of Noah to say that Noah was of a pure white racial stock (because JESUS has to be of a pure white racial stock as it is the supreme race). I shan't discuss this here but you can read about that discussion in the post 'Scriptures Terms And Concepts Which Were Twisted' of the blog 'A Christian Pilgrimage' under that topic (and sub heading).

2 Peter 1:19 – 21 ⁣ (Note: The term translated as 'prophecy of Scripture' just means the 'words spoken by a Prophet of GOD as moved by the HOLY SPIRIT' as was explicitly stated in the passage.)

Earlier we discussed in 2 Peter 1 verse 19 to 21 that the words 'the holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit', cannot be interpreted by mankind anyhow they think andor like.

Remember the context here is just the words 'Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit' but not literally all of the Scriptures which consist mostly of records of events and situation (aka historical records, from our perspective) and other stuffs (such as genealogy of who beget who; interpretation of the laws of GOD by Moses; interactions and dialogs; etc.).

Some may then asked, 'Basically everything we read or study, we process it in our minds, relating and connecting whatever new things and ideas (or concepts) to things and ideas that we already know. That is basically how we learn and make sense of things. That is the process of how our minds work. To say that we cannot do this is basically saying to shut of our minds of thinking and from trying to make sense of things'.

So don't get me wrong, the Scriptures is not commanding that we should stop thinking and relating to and connecting to thoughts and ideas we have already learned with things we learned in the Word of Truth. On the contrary, the Scriptures throughout consistently commanded 'that we should consider' (Deuteronomy 4:39, 32:7, 29; 1 Samuel 12:24; Psalm 8:3, 50:22; Proverbs 6:6; Ecclesiastes 7:13; Isaiah 1:3; Jeremiah 9:17, 30:24) aka think rationally and intelligently.

But the Scriptures specifically warned against presumptuously coming up with or worse cooking up our own ideas (to 'lean on our own understanding') thinking and holding that we know what the various symbols means, what the parables are about, what the prophecies are about, etc..

Anyone who is a fan of fiction mysteries (be they books or movies) would know that many to most of the time (but not all the times, not always), the clue(s) to the mystery are to be found in the very fictions (be they books or movies) themselves. Likewise, in the Scriptures the clues or meaning to all the various symbolism, parables and prophecies are to be found in the Scripture of Truth itself (Luke 24:32, 44 – 45).

There are tons (literally thousands to millions) of examples of people putting in their own understanding to the words of the Scriptures, very often with blasphemous deliberated stupidity, embellished with all manner of lust seeded twists and spins lavishly added in. Some of this we have discussed earlier in this post. This work has discussed many of the main ones in many of the posts of this work and also a few very specifically in the posts 'Scriptures Terms That Have Been Twisted' and 'Totally Random Q And A' in the blog 'A Christian Pilgrimage' of this work.

One example is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. For centuries this "mysterious" (though it was not at all mysterious as the Tree was literally named as what it represented) Tree was proclaimed as 'filthy defiling sex' by the Christmas religion, of Adam and Eve having sex (which GOD explicitly commanded them to) and as a result "fell from grace" and got kicked out of the Garden of Eden. In 2011 C.E. this work discussed this Tree what it actually represented to expose the evil blasphemy of the Christmas religion. Read about this evil blasphemy of the Christmas religion in the post, 'Tree of Knowledge' in the blog 'The Scripture of Truth' of this work.

Even the (first) Messenger to the Church of GOD in Philadelphia had this Tree erroneously proclaiming the Tree and its fruits as Adam and Eve taking the GOD "reserved right and prerogative to decide for themselves what is good and what is evil". That by the way, is an evil blasphemy which portray GOD as a self glorying tyrannical dictator. By proclaiming that good and evil is GOD's sole prerogative and decision, he was basically proclaiming that there is really no such thing as good or evil, that it is all an arbitrary decision of GOD.

So if that is true then when JESUS said 'Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God' (Mathew 19:17; Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19) that it has no real meaning except that GOD said so. Likewise when it recorded 'every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually' (Genesis 6:5) it also has no meaning except that GOD declared it to be so. It is all just GOD's arbitrary decision as in 'I say I am good therefore I am good, and I say everyone is evil therefore everyone is evil. There is no basis needed, it is just up entirely to ME to say what is good and what is evil, who is good and who is evil'.

But evil (and also good which is acting for the welfare and well being of all and sundry those who are evil not included of course) is not some arbitrary decision. Evil is about real actions that have harmful effects (whether immediate or even in a near infinite timeline) on others and even on ourselves.

No doubt it was never his intention to blaspheme GOD but that is ultimately what happens when we become full of ourselves, thinking and holding that we are this supreme proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives know-it-all. That was the exact same case with the Apostle Paul. These both became so massively stupid proclaiming massively stupid things all the while strutting around thinking to themselves how awesome they were to be able to proclaim such "supremely, profoundly, ingeniously" massively stupid things.

Another is so called Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse which to this day has been taught and proclaimed as about the end of the world (i.e. the End of The Age) which of course it wasn't, as I have discussed earlier.

In the second passage and verse (verse 13) tells of how not to read or study the Scripture in that exact way (the ways spoke of in verse 10) but 'go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and caught' or go into total errors (fall backward) and be destroyed (be broken and snared and caught to end in the Lake of Gehenna Fire). One of the contexts to the second (i.e. latter) passage (quoted directly above) is in verse 7.

But they also have erred through wine,
And through intoxicating drink are out of the way;
The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink,
They are swallowed up by wine,
They are out of the way through intoxicating drink;
They err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
Isaiah 28:7 ⁣

In the verse above (verse 7) the 'wine' and 'intoxicating drink' are metaphors for all that cause one to become drunk or intoxicated

And the verse was not referring to alcohol, as not everyone drinks wine. Also among those who do, not everyone who drinks wine does so until they become drunk all the time so as to 'err in vision' and 'stumble in judgment' (as in continuously drunk).

Verse 7 refers specifically to the Elect of GOD and particularly all those who are the proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives (the context is in 'They err in vision, they stumble in judgment') among the Elect from Apostles to Prophets to Messengers to the Church of GOD of the various Church eras.

Of course generally the verse also refers to all those who read and study in order to understand its messages whether they are sincere or otherwise. This is the second context to that verse and also to verse 13.

Essentially then reading the Scripture of Truth to be able to comprehend its (true) messages is not 'rocket science' but something anyone with basic high school education would (or should anyway) be able to do. It is no more different from reading and studying any complex non fiction subject that is written as some sort of cryptic puzzle with tons of symbolic language. First read through the book (in this case the Christian Holy Scriptures) from cover to cover to get the feel of the whole subject, then search out (i.e. to collate) all the pertinent issues as well as correctly identify the symbolism used, as you would with a puzzle and piece them together.

Why then is it until this very day, nearly everyone (this author excluded of course, but you don't have believe this if you lusted uncontrollably to not want to) who reads stumble and fail to understand it from essentially (applies to the proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives of GOD from Apostles to Messengers in the true Church of GOD), to mostly through completely (applies to all the proclaimed and acclaimed Superlatives of the social order of mankind).

And none (this author excluded) are able to piece everything together to understand the whole point of it (the Scriptures as a whole and complete message), that it is about the process to perfect (make complete with all the desired good and none of the undesired evils) the creature personages forever, and not the tons of ridiculous and blasphemous assertions (such as: God is trying desperately to save a world tricked by Satan the Devil into having sex and sinned; God wants or rather lusts, to reward all the men who killed His enemies for him with eternal mindless sex orgies with copious dozen of virtual virgins when they die and go to heaven) of all the so called Abrahamic religions, other pagan religions and beliefs systems of the world of man. We shan't go into the discussion of all these evil blasphemous teachings (i.e. doctrines) and propositions here in this post as they are discussed in numerous other posts of this work.

The main reason for this is as stated in Isaiah 28 verse 7. Nearly all who read and study these Scriptures have been (or were/are) drunk from their uncontrolled lusting of all sorts, but particularly ego gorging lust. This has been the number one pitfall of most of the Elect (Luke 9:45; Mark 9:34; 2 Corinthians 11:5; Ephesians 3:4;) from the Apostolic Age to today (the End of the Age).

They have all become wise in their own eyes (puffed up or their hearts lifted up, higher than the highest heaven, all are on an uncontrolled continual ego gorging trip once and whenever they are no longer being scared out of their wits).

Here is one example of such preconceived notions from the Scriptures itself:

And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”
But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’
Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage.
2 Kings 5:10 – 12 ⁣

The Apostle Paul is the most iconic example of this ego gorging lust (among the Saints of GOD) which this work has discussed extensively in explicative clarity in many of the discussions of this work. Likewise too the (first) Messenger to the Church of GOD in Philadelphia and the (second) Messenger to the Church of GOD in Laodicea, both of whom this work have also discussed, just not as extensively as the Apostle Paul.

The innate needs, wants and desires of the creature personages ultimately almost invariably translate into lusts once and when ever there are situation opportunities especially coupled with some measure of power impunity. The difference between legitimate needs, wants and desires and lusts, lie in attitude of the creature personages towards others whether their care for others are absolutely equal to the care they have for themselves or not.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:27 – 39 ⁣

That was the reason the second great commandment is to love your neighbor equal to your love for yourself. But there is another major, major problem, the innate deceitfulness of the heart (i.e. of the creature psyche).

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
Jeremiah 17:9 ⁣

That is the reason sincerity is the number one issue when we read the Scriptures. An absolute, total, complete sincerity is needed to study the Scriptures without going into lust seeded and fueled ideas. Sincerity is both an absolute as well as a relative attribute. We can have instances of sincerity, attitudes of sincerity towards certain persons and in certain dealings.

But we cannot have degrees of sincerity, it is either all the way or none at all. To be fifty percent sincere, ninety percent or even ninety-nine percent sincere is actually to be a hundred percent insincere. And that is where the deceitfulness of the heart comes in, and why it is beyond cure, incurable (Jeremiah 17:9 NIV).

Which is the reason everyone fails to fully correctly comprehend the whole message of the Scriptures, and why none has any clear idea what it is all about. Most who study it don't even understand ten percent of it as a coherent single compound message (as opposed to as separate distinct individual messages unrelated to eachall of the rest of the Scriptures).

That is the reason you need to get your attitudes towards GOD correct first before you can even remotely love your neighbor equal to yourself. This, getting your attitudes right towards GOD has been covered (though not yet as of this writing, fully discussed) in the first six installments of this discussion series on the most important passages of the Scriptures.

The rest of the most important passages that help us have the correct attitudes towards GOD.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
Psalm 111:10 ⁣

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’
Job 28:28

For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.
Isaiah 66:2 ⁣

Cease all lies and lying, have an attitude of being truthful at all time particularly to yourself. The very first place to start being sincere and a hundred percent truthful is always with yourself. If you are totally lying to yourself even if it is just in one area of your life, you cannot, can never ever be (completely) truthful to GOD. And if you are not completely truthful, plain and simple, you just are not truthful.

And if you cannot be truthful to GOD it just means you are just so massively stupid to think that you can deceive GODGOD knows every thought you have or can ever have. Of such liars are the likes of the Prophet Balaam and King Saul, the ends of both are in perdition.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
John 2:23

And to all those who have a disinclination to believe or an inclination to disbelieve, this work, the Scriptures testified:

Behold, you despisers,
Marvel and perish!
For I work a work in your days,
A work which you will by no means believe,
Though one were to declare it to you.'
Acts 13:41 ⁣

Interpreting And Interpretations
This section added in 2022 04 23

There is however a need to understand the concept of the terms: to interpret, interpreting and interpretations. At the most basic the concept in those terms is about telling the correct or right (or what seems to a person to be the correct or right) 'answers' to a matter, particularly pertaining to parables, riddles, puzzles, analogies, allegories and other figurative languages. Of course these terms also applies to translation of one language to another.

Which ever the case, the point to the concept is about giving the correct or right answers or truth to a matter. The problem is while the concept is about giving the answers or truth to a matter, the expression of interpretation in human kind is very far from giving answers or truth to the matter but each one own personal take or so called "opinion" which isn't actually opinion either (from the meaning of the term or word) but about what is one's preferred take (relating to one's emotional inclination and not about facts based analytical consideration) to the matter.

The Next Most Important Passages Discuss What GOD Has Being Doing And Why

In the next installment on the most important passages of the Scriptures we will discuss the process which GOD have ordained to make HIS creation particularly the creature personages perfect (completely Holy, righteous and good) how and more importantly why.

Of course all that are discussed in this series are by no means all of the most important Scriptures. There are other most important Scriptures relating to other issues. It is all in what (the concepts) we are discussing and in what context. But overall we can say that all that we have discussed in this discussion series, are the top most of the top most important passages of the Scriptures, period.
